I have been an amateur astronomer since I was twelve, then the youngest member of the Los Angeles Astronomical Society near Pasadena where I grew up. Over the years, I've owned a wide variety of telescopes, the largest of which was a 24-inch reflector that was not portable. My favorite instrument, however, was an outstanding 6-inch refractor on an Astrophysics mount.

I no longer have one of the large and heavy telescopes, but I am looking forward to trying out my recently acquired 100 mm astronomical binoculars with galaxy filters!
